How can I help bring your characters to life (or death) ?

Costume Design
My first love is design. I love to help bring a character to life visually. I gravitate to characters with a dark backstory whose clothing needs to be distressed, damaged, maybe even bloody to show where they've been & what they've been through. I love when I can take an existing garment and alter it. I can also create an ensemble from scratch using fabric or yarn.

Set Costuming
I love to be where the action is! When I'm not designing, I like to be on set, watching the clothing. I've always had a keen eye for detail and have been known to fix a stranger's collar or help a bride cinch up her wedding dress in the Club 33 bathroom. Even before starting this career, I'm the one in my friend group to be counted on for double-stick tape and to be tossed a garment that needs a button sewn back on or a hole repaired as we're heading to the Uber. I strengthened my quick-repair skills while working in theatre.
Styling
Another favorite past-time of mine has always been taking existing pieces and putting them together in a visually pleasing and interesting way. Just as with starting from scratch, I often find the pieces to tell a story are already hanging in a closet and just need to be put together. Sometimes an existing item just needs to be worn slightly different or paired with the right accessory to help convey the intended theme or message.
